Brenda has been actively involved in owning and operating businesses connected with the performing arts since the tender age of 11, when she first began “Brendance Studio”, her first dance studio and has continued her teaching of children for over 50 years.

She has lived on the island of Kaua'i since 1987, where she started the “Showtime Menehunes,” and thus began entertaining at parties and events on the island of Kaua'i, over 30 years ago. This was a group dedicated to teaching children and youth the performing arts. It is from this group that the name and some of her many students continue to live on as “Showtime Characters.” She has also coached numerous beauty queens,and talented winners of various competitions.

She was the playwright and director for a local musical production entitled, “He ‘Olelo Ho’ohiki I Malama ‘Ia” -“A Promise Kept.” She has directed and or choreographed many musicals and performing groups on Kaua'i and on the mainland, including Branson's own, "THE HUGHES BROTHERS," who have been continuously named the overall Number One Performing Group in Branson, MI.

She recently directed a "Broadway Salute to Our Armed Forces" and the M*A*S*H Event for the Kauai Veterans Museum and is working towards a new dinner theatre show called "SALUTE!" She was the Director/Choreographer of the hit Broadway Musical, “SOUTH PACIFIC” which appeared as live dinner theater at the Kauai Beach Hotel for thirteen years. She also directed "MISS SAIGON" that appeared on Kaua'i at the Kaua'i Community College in 2013. Brenda has also been a professional GECKO for GEICO! She currently teaches Performing Arts for King Kaumuali'i Elementary School. She is a skilled balloon artist had has trained with many renown balloon artists from all over the world. She is the co-owner of Pohaku Plumbing, Inc.
